Pumpkin Bread Recipe

As soon as September knocks at the door, all I can think about is baking some delicious pumpkin flavored desserts as: pumpkin cookies, pumpkin bread, apple muffins, etc. To be honest one of may favorites is this delicious pumpkin bread and I couldn’t wait to share with you! The best part of this recipe are definitely the chocolate chips! Don’t worry, in case you are not a chocolate lover as I am, you can remove them or simply replace them with dates, nuts, etc.

One of my favorite recipes to bake on the autumn days is definitely the pumpkin bread one. It has tons of pumpkin flavor, is super easy to make and the smell is absolutely delicious.

Ingredients

  • 100 gr butter

  • 150 gr (3/4 cup) white sugar

  • 100 gr (1/2 cup) brown sugar

  • 340 gr (1+1/2 cup) pumpkin puree

  • 2 eggs at room temperature

  • 2 tbs of milk

  • 220 gr (1+3/4 cup) flour

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp pumpkin mixed spice

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 100 gr (1 cup) chocolate chips (OPTIONAL/can be replaced by dates, nuts, etc)

Directions

  • Preheat the oven at 180 Celsius degrees/360 Fahrenheit degrees. Generously grease your bread shape pan and set it aside.

  • In a bowl add the butter and the two types of sugar. Beat them together until they are blended.

  • Mix into the composition the pumpkin puree, add the two room temperature eggs and the milk.

  • After the composition is well mixed, add in the dry ingredients: flour, cinnamon, spices, baking soda and baking powder.

  • Mix in well all the ingredients on a medium level speed.

  • At the end mix in the chocolate chips or the replacement ingredients if it's the case.

  • Add the batter into the pan and let it in the oven for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  • When baked, let it cool for 10-15 minutes and then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely
